Hotel Rott

Description:

This gothic building has a long history dating back many centuries, and an impressively painted Middle Ages style exterior. The interior, however, is very much a high-standard modern hotel. It's both romantic, old-fashioned and quaint. It's also a good choice for families. After complicated renovations the four-storey J.V. Rott building has re-opened its doors as a comfortable hotel. The hotel has a beautifully decorated neo-Renaissance facade and frescos done by the famous painter Mikolas Ales. Since the 19th century the "Rott House" has offered unbelievable views of the towers and roofs of Prague's historic core.
